The opportunity 

As a Power Platform Developer, you'll join CSIRO's Information Management & Technology (IM&T) division at an exciting time as we expand our Microsoft 365 and Power Platform capabilities to support growing business demand.

 

Working in an agile, innovative and highly collaborative environment, you'll develop and deliver modern digital solutions that support CSIRO's strategic objectives and enable world-class science.

 

Partnering with developers, business analysts, testers and stakeholders across the organisation, you'll play a key role in designing, enhancing and continuously improving solutions that deliver real business value while enjoying the autonomy and support to innovate and make an impact.

 

High-level duties include

  • Adapt and/or develop original solutions to meet the provided requirements
  • Provide technical advice that is aligned with the overall solution designs, architecture and framework
  • Respond to production issues and routine maintenance activities as required
  • Successfully complete assigned development tasks as specified by due dates.
  • Use sound judgement when dealing with unexpected or competing project priorities or

issues.

  • Contribute actively to all stages of project delivery, from end-to-end.
  • Work effectively and autonomously as part of a regionally dispersed, multi-disciplinary team.

 

Role particulars

Location and office arrangements: Melbourne (Clayton), Adeliade (Waite) Canberra (Black Mountain) Brisbane (St Lucia) Sydney (Marsfield)

Salary: AU$135,571 – AU$158,863 per annum (pro rata for part-time), plus 15.4% superannuation

Tenure & work schedule: Indefinite

As the successful candidate, you will bring:

Essential criteria

  1. A minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in the technical development of Microsoft solutions.
  2. Demonstrated experience of the Power Platform, including the ability to configure:
    • Dashboards, Forms, Tables, Fields and Views
    • Business Process Flows
    • Security models
    • Automation using Power Automate, Workflows and Business Rules
  3. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage several competing project priorities simultaneously.
  4. Demonstrated customer-focused approach in formulating project solutions.
  5. Proven ability and motivation to proactively seek out solutions under minimal direction.
  6. Proven ability to promote a team approach and develop sound working relationships with team colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
  7. Ability to develop and execute data migration plans
  8. Understanding of how SharePoint and the Power Platform fit into the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem

 

Desirable

  1. Experience working with Dynamics Portal online
  2. Experience using Power BI
  3. Experience using Purview, Fabris, Azure Integration
