As the CBIS Coordinator and National CNC Coordinator - Engineering Services, you will oversee manufacturing jobs and projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget. Whilst providing mentoring and guidance to team members implementing and maintaining the national machining, CNC machining, and fabrication policy. This position also involves working closely with tradespeople across locations to develop their skills and enhance manufacturing capabilities.
We are looking for an experienced professional with strong leadership, project management, and technical expertise.
Your duties will include:
- Lead small teams of machinists and fabricators in three locations around Australia.
- Monitor all manufacture jobs and projects on cost and time. Assist members to manage projects and provide mentoring.
- As National Manufacturing Coordinator, create, implement, and maintain a national machining, CNC machining, and fabrication policy. Work with and develop tradespeople from all locations.
- Participate with research project leaders to develop initiatives that require engineering.
- Oversee and assist with current projects, including overseeing the manufacture process.
- Following the CBIS Engineering Workshop Strategy and processes, create a culture based on team work and a focus on the client.
- Own and be responsible for budgets under control, including strong emphasis on cost recoveries to ensure financial viability of the facilities.

Salary: AU$114,219 - AU$123,605 plus up to 15.4% superannuation

To be considered you will need:
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills related to leading and managing an engineering facility capable of delivering quality bespoke items.
- Strong people and communication skills to build and maintain a high performing team and create and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong business development focus to promote the services and offerings of the Engineering Services group, coupled with strong commercial and financial management skills.
- Strong CNC and process knowledge and ability to create and maintain a national CNC policy.
Desirable:
- Experience with effort logging and business management software.
- Experience working in a research facility.
